Research, our key word…
Very often, before even beginning ‘fieldwork’ we need to do administrative verification research. This research is aimed at checking, where possible, the elements that have been communicated to the detective, in order to benefit as much as possible from the actual fieldwork.
The various internet research engines are also very useful given the diversity of information.
The verified elements are then put together and sorted according to their degree of importance. A reevaluation of the degree of importance is done frequently throughout the case.
In order to avoid unnecessary expenses, it is important that the client gives the detective any documents he has in his possession. This is to avoid the client being invoiced for research of documents that he already possesses. It is also to avoid any unnecessary loss of time.
This is followed by research in practical terms. The methods used vary of course according to the purpose of the research and the environment in which the detective is working.
